Each year starts with a gazillion Awards shows, where most talented people in their respective professions are recognised for their inspiring works in the last year, closely scrutinized by a group of respectable experts in a jury, and in some cases- the people. Not all of the awards have equal significance and/or star power. The Academy Awards, The Emmys and The Grammys are what others aspire to be. With "supposedly" unbiased juries and tremendous star power, these events are anticipated each year by music/TV/movie aficionados. I being all of the three, take a good amount of interest in all the nominations, winners and of course the red carpet. Last year when Beyoncé released lemonade, her 6th studio album I realised it was going to be an acquired taste for me.
