Why Tejas is no small feat ??! (in layman's term)

Image
, After almost 30 years in development at HAL, when compared to international biggies like Gripen from SAAB, the Tejas does falls short but its too quick to be discounted, and actually it represents more than a sub par army jet and I will tell you why... After planning started in 1980, development didn't start until 1990 when the funds actually started to flow into the project. Built with a meagre budget of 1 billion USD, Tejas is the first indigenously built light weight fighter jet by India's HAL. After several delays due to Engine procurement, funds shortage and sanctions on India after 1998 underground atomic testings, the Tejas started flying by 2004 and so far it has hadn't had much of a glitch. That's not to say it doesn't has issues. The engine is imported from GE (cuz the proposed indigenous Kaveri couldn't be developed on time), which is not providing enough thrust, the payload is not huge and it weighs a little too much for the given category/en...

Apple- of my eyes!!!

Image
The first trillion dollar firm in the human history represents more than just unimaginable profits. The Cupertino based giant is neither the first nor the largest manufacturer of smartphones yet it stands the tallest, of all firms in the whole world. what happened as such... The first iPhone was launched in 2007 while its behemoth of a rival- Nokia was at its peak. Soon Nokia's shares started sliding from a record market capital of around 250 Billion USD until its flailing smartphone business was sold to Microsoft for 7.3 Billion USD. It happened so because Apple pretty much revolutionized the industry. For example Apple brought to mainstream- Touch based input system, minimalism, fingerprint sensors, exclusive App store, proprietry software on all its devices, keen eye on craftsmanship of devices, yearly launches of new models, one flagship serves all system, exclusive tie ups with carriers etc. Further Apple has been able to generate a cult following throughout the glob...

Tesla- of the Future

Image
Pet project of Billionaire Tycoon Elon Musk, Tesla motors brought into the mainstream- Powerful, Quality Electric Vehicles, at a time with no competition. His other projects like SpaceX and Hyperloop are just as revolutionary. So what makes Tesla Motors so important in the world?? At a time when each country is scrapping its funds for petroleum imports and reduce its carbon footprint cuz of impending climate change and more, while the only mainstream, concentrated source of energy are the ones Fossil, depleting fast and spewing International hate and paranoia, Economic instabilities, debt that several countries wont recover from, and last but not the least- Pollution. At such uncertain times, Tesla shows theres a clean road to the future. Ahead of its time and ahead of its competition, Tesla motors shows us a dream where not just our cars, but our trucks also run on clean energy, zero emission. The electric current if sourced from renewable energy will be win-win. Internation...

Most Iconic Brands of the Generation

Image
From time to time, one revolutionary idea changes everything. That idea often in form of a multinational multibillion dollar firm survives for decades and often guides the industry into the incredible innovations of the next few decades to come, until some other new idea re-revolutionizes the whole game and a new era starts. In this series I want to talk about the 5 most influential and innovative ideas of our current generation. These brands have not only created multi-multi billion dollar business setups but have also been marred with biggest controversies (more often than not). Lets see if u agree... Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley once endorsed Coca Cola The Coca Cola Company- The first bottle of Coca Cola was sold in 1886. Since then, it has become a 200 Billion dollar company and has created a massive market for soft drinks. Rivals like PepsiCo USA and RC Cola are not far behind either. The iconic cursive logo is one of the most identifiable across the globe. In fact C...

A month with my iPhone 7 Plus: the Good, the Bad and the Worse

Image
Every thing that shines is not gold, but something that does not shines can be gold too. Obviously I'm talking about my matte black iPhone 7 Plus I bought exactly a month ago. My first iDevice and also my first high end phone. The ride ever since is one heck of a roller coaster. Here is my amateur analysis of using this magnificent beast for a month. THE GOOD... Every thing you see, touch and feel is remarkable. That's some strong words for a person who was using a cheap Chinese iOS imitating android phone for the last one year. Either way, I'm totally floored. The matte black finish is a total looker, the cold n sturdy metal finish, the curvy Corning Gorilla Glass is to die for, the magnificent display even at 1080p, the speakers, the water resistant IP67 rating etc etc, everything about it is flawless. But one thing that mesmerises me like a child at Disney Land is the camera(s). The Dual setup of cameras at the back essentially for lossless optical zoom is to d...

A Desire long Over-due

Image
Ever since I got out of my tiny pond called Nokia, I realised there's a whole vast ocean called Apple. Since then, on and off I have been dreaming about the amazing over-priced products they make. And finally today I have become an 'isheep'. I bought my first idevice- the IPhone 7 plus and its magnificent. Sure I had to do everything short of selling kidneys but I finally got there and as of now it seems like a place worth being. Its gorgeous, its fast, its powerful, buttery smooth, intelligent, its everything and beyond in a smartphone. Out of a lot of choices I chose the IPhone over Android primarily for a change of taste. Sure Android phones offer you all those stuff (for the first six months, LOL!!) but then again what's living if it aint adventurous. Here are some pics of my unit. Pls don't mind the bad quality pics, it was taken from a very old Samsung phone. So initially I was fixated on the Galaxy A9 Pro, but my choice kept changing with each passing we...

My new found obsession with APPLE!!!

Image
We all have seen them. We all quite know it. There is no single tech firm alive that produces gadgets as cool and good looking as Apple. This statement holds true about macs and iPads. As far as iPhone goes, ever since the Chinese corps got there eyes on it, not so much. On an unrelated note the first cloned animal was Dolly- the sheep :p Now in India, Apple has a market share of 2% amongst smartphones, lower in case of laptops. These low figures can be easily attributed to the staggering prices of its products. But because of ever improving income and lifestyle, the numbers are increasing and the firm is very positive about its future here. There are a lot of people who hate Apple for unnecessarily pricing its products so high, keeping the profit margins so massive that others can only dream about it and hence the products beyond the reach of a common man. What they fail to understand is that its a marketing strategy to make its produ...
