The original recipe of Coke formulated by John Pemberton contained cocaine and was supposed to be a medicine to a wide variety of mild disorders- One elixir to cure it all. Later on, cocaine was removed and Coca Cola transcended into a palatable fizzy drink, rather than a drug.
The Coca Cola Company has run some of the most iconic and successful ad campaigns all over the world. For Example- the Red Trucks that deliver Coke in USA at the end of the year to mark the Holidays, the Polar Bears sipping Coke, Santa Claus enjoying Coke with kids etc.
There are several versions of the same Coke selling in select markets such as Diet Coke, Cherry Coke, Lime Coke etc.

In fact Coca Cola sells in every single country of the world, except North Korea and Cuba (available in Cuban black market). Further there have been various versions of the same drink, as well as many other hugely successful drinks in various market. For instance, in India it has Thums-up, Maaza, etc. Coca Cola has been an inspiring product that has changed how people eat and drink, and had huge impact on our lifestyles. Controversies always follows fame. Issues regarding affects on health, calories, water resource sustainability etc keep coming up with such a big firm every now and then, from various parts of the world.
