Real Funny stories from my Medical College: Part II

This article is a continuation of the original post titled "Real Funny stories from my medical College", don't forget to read that too...

Being in a Med-School is a pretty boring affair, but every once in a while entertaining things happen. While in the first part of the post, I talked about things we noticed as a new comer. Here I will talk about stuff happening as of late. So here we go.

The Patients hate us-    Generally patients are supposed comply with us students taking up their cases for study and presentation. But they are understandably annoyed when it leads to hours of questioning and examination by students of various semesters. Some of them come down to even abusing us for the reason. Its rare though. The last time it happened, two of the girls in my batch were verbally abused in Marathi. It was atrocious but theres nothing we could do about it.

While some male patients have a change of heart when they are to be physically examined by the beautiful female students. In one such case, a cirrhotic patient wouldn't stop smiling until his wife have had enough of it and told us to be done with it ASAP. We knew what was happening and it was hilarious. :p

The King with no shirt-  One of the most important Department in a hospital is Surgery and its Head is pretty powerful person. He indeed wears a Rolex and uses a 24 carat gold pen. But that does not stops him from roaming around the hospital in an apron and no shirt. I was startled when I first saw it. even more so when people told me that it was an everyday thing. I still wonder if he is hot all the time. Or maybe he spills tea on his shirt everyday or maybe its a Fashion choice. If its the last, he sure needs a psychiatrist.

Our Dean had a bad day-  Readers from my college would know we had a RESCON event just last week. Complete with boring seminars, lectures and workshops, a very weird thing happened when the Chancellor of the University, a big ass politician of the state came to speak. Firstly, both his English and Marathi were beyond my capacity of interpretation. But god knows when he started trashing the Dean. There was one heck of silence in the auditorium. The Dean was sitting right next to him and looked terrified. The Chancellor then ended up throwing some papers on the podium and said that he is not happy with the Dean's work. It sent chills down our spine and no one dared to utter a word in the audience. We had never witnessed something like this in 4 years of the college. it was a bad day for our Dean and I hope things improve between them.

That's all for this article. Will keep bringing more of these. Stay tuned...
