Thor Ragnarok and more...

So after much anticipation we watched Thor Ragnarok. With the rising tide that is Feminism, we are seeing more Female protagonists and antagonists in Hollywood than ever. So this one had one of my favs, Cate Blanchett as Hela, the goddess of death and super-powerful big sis of Thor, the god of thunder who was exiled and imprisioned (or something like that) by her father Odin since her ever growing thirst of conquering and winning would have put an end to the universe as we know it. As God daddy passes away, she is released and starts a journey of revenge and conquest beyond the imaginations of Asgaurd. Standing before her are Thor, Loki and Hulk. With amazing displays of the powers of each one, its ascertained that Hela is invincible. So they fight together along with Heimdall and a lost Valkyrie warrior. Still losing they leave her on Asgaurd with a big fiery monster who was sure to defeat her, but isn't shown, leaving crumbs for a sequel later on(I guess). Asguard is lost in the end but the remaining asguardians start a journey to earth to establish a new asguard.

As a movie the story is amazing, and the animations and actions are superb. Clearly a lot is being expected out of it for Marvel. And clearly the signs look very positive. The Movie is earning very well all over the world. While my eyes were set on Hela, Cate Blanchett gave a good performance but as usual with any big budget flashy superhero movie, her performance as top notch actor is lost amidst all the costumes, animations and actions. Also was noticeable various comical scenes which are reminiscent of Deadpool. She still did brilliant. Appearances were made by Doctor Strange, Stan Lee. Hats off to the action directors. Over all the movie is a must watch of the season. And I recommend all of you to go out and see it in theaters.

In the music section, Havana released by ex-Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello, the first single from her first solo album (yet to be available), is a brilliant piece of work. Super catchy and a hot video accompanied, theres a lot to like. especially her sultry voice. Camila left Fifth Harmony, in December 2016 to pursue her solo career, just like Beyoncé left Destiny's Child, and so far so good. The video scored over a 100 million views within a week. The song is a must listen. Heres a link.
